This is what I think would be the most useful variant for any proposed large-scale mesh network. It allows all the active mesh nodes to talk to each other without the 'port' limitation of 6 peer APs, and it allows dumb nodes (without this driver) to associate with one of these active nodes as if it were an AP. Of course IBSS mode still has its drawbacks, but at least it lets us talk to anyone we want.
