I have run one under many different circumstances with this driver, in the CF form factor.
It has worked everywhere I've had it--in a PCMCIA adapter on a laptop, connected to a SMC PCI interface on a desktop machine, and even on my Zaurus Linux "teensy full-function computer." In the little box it was only a client, but it has functioned perfectly.
In some of these cases config'ing has been tricky, but not very.
