How set up the WEP ?

I use now the latest prism2 drivers 2002-04-10 with Compaq WL200 cards. What should I do when set up the WEP encryption ?

I run the driver in true ad-hoc mode and with "iwconfig wlan0 key s:1234567890" command.
The iwconfig shows that restricted encryption is enabled, the link is up and the quality is 92/92,
but I ws not able to ping between computers.

If I do this same with swld11_cs driver, the WEP is working.
