I keep seeing things on the list that would indicate that others are
able to use the HostAP driver as a managed client on older wireless
NICs, such as the Lucent white cards that I have tons of.
I have been unsuccesful getting the driver to work with those cards: the radio lights come up in the exact configuration one would expect, and there comes an entry in the /proc~/wlan0 directory that would indicate that the driver sees the client, but there doesn't seem to be any communications between the card and the AP.
If anyone has this running, I sure would appreciate being able to compare notes to see what I'm doing wrong.
