I/O macros for alpha platform

Hi, fairly new to hostap compiling so bear with me,

It is talked about that certain platforms may need some I/O macro changes. Has anyone tried to load a DWL-650 card on a Alpha multia running 2.2.19, pcmcia-3.1.33 and Prism2-2002-04-24. After adding "-mno-fp-regs -ffixed-8" to the CFLAGS= var in /usr/src/Prism2-2002-04-24/Makefile I was finnaly able to build, but DWL-650 insert i got a cardmgr Opps Aieeee error which proved to need a hardpower reset. Anyone have any experience with this type problem?
