What kind of roaming? One method would be to use Linux bridge code and disable direct packet bridging in the Host AP driver
(ap_bridge_packets=0). This would allow stations to roam between
multiple APs using the same IP address (and rely on bridge code to find out where each MAC address is). Another option would be to use DHCP to assign different IP addresses at each AP and use IP routing. One could also use Mobile IP (e.g., with FA in each AP). There are also other ways of supporting roaming and yes these can be implemented with Host AP driver.

I haven't yet implemented IAPP so old AP will not get information about stations moving to another AP (this is why ap_bridge_packets should be disabled), but this could be added at some point to speedup possible connectivity delayes during handoff (e.g., when two stations are using the same AP and are sending packets to each other while one moves to another AP).
