Prism 2.x Firmware support for PCF functions?

I'm trying to get a grip on this issue, and it has led me to a couple of questions that I hope someone on the list can answer:

• Intersil literature for the HFA3842A MAC controller states that "Firmware . . . supports .. operation under the optional Point Coordination Function . . "

Yet I seem to recall on seeing a statement contrary to that on the list.

That leads to another question: is there a way within the Intersil tech info hierarchy to track what does what in which firmware release?
