Allow me to add--
After you strip ALL configured IP's for eth(n) and wlan(n) and added the interfaces to your bridge group (br(n)), you should then place your IP configuration on the bridge group itself. That is to say, if you have 10.0.0.1 in a /24 network configured on eth0, you'll want to do the same for br0 (ifconfig br0 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0).
