I tested this only very briefly, i.e., just to confirm that authentication goes through. I did not notice this kind of problems after getting everything working for the first time.
I did not change FreeRadius (or Xsupplicant for that matter) code at all. The only tweak was to compile EAP stuff with beta version of openssl and using shared library from this beta version when running FreeRadius.
