installing hostapd

Howdy,

How do I install and run the hostapd. Where shall I put its files? I tried to run it but it gave me the following error: ioctl(SIOCGIFINDEX): No such device
ioctl[SIOCGIFFLAGS]: No such device

The daemon log file gives me the following error: Can't load module wlan0ap

Where can we find that?
