Strange iwspy output?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out those reports :

One side of the link (Orinoco with kernel driver)

Quality:12/92 Signal level:-89 dBm Noise level:-101 dBm (updated)

                      ///

Other side ( Linksys WMP11 with hostap_pci)

Quality:229/92 Signal level:-97 dBm Noise level:-100 dBm (updated)

        ^^^

Isn't this 229 strange data? Is it because of iwspy or hostap ?

Isn't it strange to have such big difference in signal level on p-t-p link? Cards are different but I guess rx circuit shouldn't be with 8 db difference.
