I just installed a Cisco VPN client on my laptop (version 3.5.2 for
Cisco 3000 series VPN concentrators.) I can connect to the VPN using a
Cisco Aironet PCMCIA card, but if I use my built-in Mini PCI Prism 2.5
card with the Prism2-2002-05-19 driver, the VPN concentrator won't let
me on. Internet access is fine.
I'm using a 2.4.18 kernel and the 2002-05-19 hostap_pci driver in managed mode. The problem exists whether or not WEP is enabled. I've also tried the linux-wlan prism2_pci driver, and it has the same problem. I can boot into Windows and connect to the VPN, though, so there isn't anything wrong with my Mini PCI card. Also, the Aironet card connects to the VPN fine under Linux, so there's nothing wrong with my VPN client installation.
