To Flash, or not to flash?

I hope this is a good question to ask for some authoritative input: should those of us with cards still in the original last-year factory flash state feel a need to upgrade?

I know about the "only 3 addresses with WDS" limitation, but AFAIK that one is still a problem.

Are there other reasons we might want to upgrade? I feel like I ought to, but don't want to risk trashing the card if there's no real benefit.
