i'm having an impossible time getting hostap to work, using a ricoh
chipset pci cardbus adapter (that came with the dlink dwl-500 bundle), and
a 3.3v rangelan ds card.
i had to add the card definition to hostap_cs.conf, but that shouldn't be a big deal. so basicaly what i'm hoping is, that someone has used these before and there's some quirk that i just need to know. but although it apears it's running (to me), kismet doesn't see anything, nor can i associate with it manually with iwconfig on my laptop with an orinoco card, and my friend's ibook doesn't see it either.

it looks to me like it should be working... but, it doesn't.
kernel 2.4.19
pcmcia-cs 3.1.33
hostap (a fairly recent cvs version, within the past couple weeks)
using the intersil 1.03 firmware on the card
if anyone's got any ideas, help would be appreciated. thanks.
